The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carandang thows a body kick. Lasner tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Lasner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Carandang feints and then cracks Lasner's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lasner down.
Carandang throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Lasner's head.
Lasner fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carandang avoids it really well and circles away.
Carandang moves out of range of the strikes.

Carandang is looking for a sweep. Lasner is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lasner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Carandang wants to get back to his feet.
Lasner frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lasner postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Carandang looks a forlorn figure.
Lasner is landing with some decent strikes but Carandang is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Carandang takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
