The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mikel sprawls well. Mikel wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Williams gets slowly back to his feet.
Johnny Mikel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mikel misses with a series of wild punches.

It looks like Stank Williams has been cut.

Mikel tries for a takedown but Williams circles away easily

and Williams counters with a shoot takedown. Mikel fights it but they end up in guard.

Williams looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Williams shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mikel but Mikel pushes him off and we're back to square one.
