The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Demetriou fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Demetriou looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Demetriou misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Boxlund lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Boxlund.
Demetriou takes a jab right on the kisser.
Demetriou tries to score a power double leg takedown but Boxlund sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Demetriou somewhat.
Demetriou tries to clinch there but Boxlund circles away.
Boxlund avoids a kick to the body.
Demetriou shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Boxlund pinned against the cage. Boxlund gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Blixt Boxlund has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Demetriou.

Demetriou tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boxlund paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Boxlund uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Demetriou has time to react.
Demetriou moves in looking to clinch but Boxlund pushes him off.
Nice takedown defense from Boxlund. No joy for Demetriou on that attempt.

Demetriou throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Boxlund on the side of the head.

Boxlund fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Demetriou manages to avoid it.
Boxlund misses the shot to the body.

Oooh a lovely combination from Boxlund sends Demetriou down but not out. Boxlund dives into side control looking to finish.

Boxlund has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Demetriou is still on wobbly legs! Can Boxlund finish him?
Demetriou tries to clinch up but Boxlund circles away and keeps his distance.
Boxlund lands with a right and another and another! Demetriou is in big trouble! Boxlund lands again and this time it's lights out for Demetriou! A quality knockout there for Boxlund.
