Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geruguerra Guerra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Geruguerra Guerra is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Geruguerra Guerra!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Guerra shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Simmons is trying to defend but Guerra finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Guerra drops an elbow to the side of Simmons's head.
Simmons pushes Guerra off looking to stand but Guerra dives back in and keeps control.
Guerra takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Guerra decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Simmons connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Guerra momentarily.
Guerra tries to close the distance and clinch but Simmons swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Guerra throws a lazy right hand but Simmons sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Guerra closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Guerra lands in his opponent's guard.
Simmons knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Guerra on the ground.
Simmons is wriggling around but Guerra manages to pass to half guard.
Simmons pushes Guerra off looking to stand but Guerra dives back in and keeps control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Guerra frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Guerra stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Simmons lands an overhand right.
Simmons lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Guerra backs up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Simmons lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Guerra can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Simmons and Guerra drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Simmons.
