Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Barney Rubble!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from B Goode is defended easily by Rubble.
B Goode is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rubble sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
B Goode fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny B Goode. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Good standup being displayed there by Rubble as he connects with a hook.


It looks like Johnny B Goode has been cut.
Good exchange - Rubble coming out on top.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rubble closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Rubble lands with an uppercut that bounces B Goode off the cage and back into rage.

Rubble softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Rubble gets underhooks to prevent B Goode's takedown attempt.

B Goode wants a takedown but no success here.
B Goode is breathing heavily.

B Goode has Rubble pressed against the cage, preventing Rubble from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Rubble cracks B Goode with an uppercut from hell and B Goode crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Rubble's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!


B Goode is rocked!
Rubble must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rubble is looking to stand up but B Goode won't let him.
Oh B Goode is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
B Goode seems to have got his legs back now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rubble is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Rubble gets a clinch.
Rubble lands a left hand.
Rubble lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of B Goode backwards.
Rubble working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Rubble breaks from the clinch.
Rubble connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Rubble bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of B Goode's head.
Rubble stuffs the takedown attempt from B Goode. B Goode gets slowly back to his feet.

Rubble closes the distance and clinches.
Rubble keeps the fight in the clinch, despite B Goode's efforts to push away.

A battle for position here, against the cage.
Rubble scores with a nice hook to the head.
Rubble can't break the clinch.

B Goode manages to break the clinch.

Rubble has B Goode up against the cage in a clinch.
Rubble is trying to force a seperation but B Goode has the dominant position.
Rubble looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
B Goode slowing the pace effectively.
Rubble lands with a short punch from the clinch.
B Goode prevents Rubble from breaking the clinch.
Rubble is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Rubble lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
B Goode misses with a short punch on the inside.
A frustrated look appears on Rubble's face as he tries to break the clinch.

B Goode has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Rubble regains guard immediately.
B Goode wants to pass the guard but Rubble is keeping the position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Barney Rubble dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Johnny B Goode's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Rubble moves into range and clinches up with B Goode.
Rubble lands a nice uppercut.
B Goode tries to land a knee to the head but Rubble blocks with his arms.
Rubble gets underhooks to prevent B Goode's takedown attempt.
Rubble is trying to break the clinch but B Goode has him pressed against the cage.
Rubble lands with a right to the head.
B Goode takes a shot to the head.
B Goode drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rubble gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Rubble is trying to break free.

B Goode pulls guard effortlessly.
Rubble would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rubble wants to stand and escape but instead B Goode has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
B Goode sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rubble's guard.
B Goode uses his free foot to push down on Rubble's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Rubble.

B Goode is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Rubble is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Johnny B Goode!
