Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Law (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Mad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Law comes to the cage accompanied by Dragon's Nest - Tekken 5. Mad has chosen Move aside and let the man go through as his entrance music. Max Mad has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marshall Law!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Mad!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Law.
Mad tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Law moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mad is looking to regain half guard here but Law keeps moving and retains side control.
Law working the body and head with strikes.
Mad tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Law wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mad can't do much from the bottom here.
Mad is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Law asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Mad slips under a jab from Law.

Law feints and as Mad raises his hands in defense, Law changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Law stays in close to Mad's body and controls the position.
Law knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mad on the ground.

Mad throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Law escapes and throws Mad's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Law moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Mad throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mad manages to get back to half guard.
Law prevents Mad from improving his position.
Law is looking to advance position but Mad won't allow it.
Mad wants to get back to full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Law lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mad backs up against the cage.
Law lands an overhand right.
Mad tries for a takedown but Law circles away easily

and Law counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Mad looks gassed!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Law stalling.
Mad controlling the position for now.
Mad wants to control but Law is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Law passes to side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Law in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Law remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

You can see the frustration on Mad's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mad is trying to work for a sweep but Law has mounted him!
Mad tries to hold on but Law pushes him away.
Mad takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Mad is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marshall Law dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Law looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Mad looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Mad is looking to improve his position.
Law seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Mad works his way to full guard. Good work.

Mad escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Law gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mad is breathing heavily.
Law prevents Mad from getting back to his feet.

Law slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Mad is looking for a triangle but Law pushes his legs off easily.
Law is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Law makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Mad is trying to keep Law in close.
Law controlling from the top position.
Law has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Mad thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mad is looking for a triangle but Law pushes his legs off easily.
Law stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mad swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mad manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Law manages to get himself to full guard.

Mad is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Mad drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mad jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Law trying to control the position from guard on top but Mad is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Law is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Mad looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Mad is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Law won't allow Mad to pass to mount.

Mad is looking for a kimura here.
Law is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mad winds up and cracks Law with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Mad with the ground and pound but Law uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Law is looking for a triangle but Mad pushes his legs off easily.
Mad stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Law swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Law tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Mad tries to move into range but Law moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Law scores with a crisp jab that stopped Mad in his tracks.


Mad is rocked!
Law lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Mad can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Law and Mad drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Law.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marshall Law!
