Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masters throws a head kick that half lands.
Masters throws a wild body kick that Davidson sees coming a mile off.
Masters checks a leg kick.
Masters throws a sloppy head kick and Davidson moves out of range easily.
A head kick misses from Masters.
Masters is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Masters is looking to land body kicks.
Masters throws a head kick but Davidson moves out of range.
Davidson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Masters tries to land a front kick but Davidson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Masters moves in looking to clinch but Davidson pushes him off.
Masters tries to clinch up but Davidson circles away and keeps his distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Davidson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Masters. That did some damage!
Masters gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Davidson lands a left and a right that send Masters crashing to the mat, dazed. Davidson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Masters is rocked!

Masters gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Davidson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Masters swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Davidson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Davidson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Masters swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Davidson passes Masters's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Davidson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Masters's head.
Masters really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davidson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Davidson wants to pass to mount but Masters is defending the position.
Davidson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Davidson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Davidson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Davidson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Davidson throwing shots but Masters is blocking nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Davidson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Masters takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Masters has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Davidson finds it's way round the side to connect with Masters's head.

Davidson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Masters seems to have recovered his senses.
Ken Masters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davidson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Masters stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Masters walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Davidson drops Masters with a beautiful combination! Masters stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Davidson is looking for the KO!


It looks like Ken Masters has been cut.
Davidson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Masters can do to turn this around?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Davidson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Masters's calf.
Davidson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Masters circles away quickly and effectively.

Ken Masters is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Masters stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Davidson.

Masters takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Davidson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Masters on the side of the head.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Davidson, right into the meat.

Davidson feints and then cracks Masters's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Masters down.

and Davidson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Masters takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

and Davidson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ken Masters is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Davidson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Donk. Davidson catches Masters right on the button with a cross.

Davidson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Davidson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Masters's guard.

Davidson in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Davidson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Davidson is looking to take a break and control but Masters is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Masters can do anything to dispel that myth.

You get the feeling that Masters really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Masters's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Peter Davidson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Davidson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
