PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Disisto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Sims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sims comes into a darkened arena with his song building. YMCA kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Disisto feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Disisto avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Disisto loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Disisto is on top in guard.

Sims takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Sims has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Disisto is working away from the top position though.

Disisto is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sims doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Disisto.

Sims shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sims was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Sims really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Disisto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Disisto tries to lock up and control but Sims gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Sims tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Disisto manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Sims tries to stand but can't do so whilst Disisto controls his leg.

Sims must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Disisto lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sims!

Disisto shoots in looking for a takedown. Sims tries to sprawl out of it but Disisto keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sims manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
