Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between George Hust (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Ferrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George Hust has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, George Hust!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Ferrell!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hust scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Hust goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Ferrell tries to clinch up but Hust circles away and keeps his distance.
A combination from Hust does no damage.
Ferrell shoots in and drives through. Hust sprawls well.
Ferrell shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hust sprawls well. Hust wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ferrell gets slowly back to his feet.
Ferrell looks gassed!

Hust closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Ferrell takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Hust stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Hust scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Hust goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Hust connects with a right hand. Ferrell shakes it off.
Ferrell takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Hust closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hust decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ferrell to his feet.
Hust fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Hust connects with a body shot.

Hust throws a series of punches but Ferrell moves out of range.

Hust darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Hust stands up from half guard.
A right-left combo lands from Hust.
Hust lands a two punch combo.
Ferrell with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hust to score with a decent uppercut.
Ferrell on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Ferrell needs to keep his hands up - Hust had a free shot at his head there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hust throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ferrell on the side of the head.
Hust's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Hust duly obliges.
Hust goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Hust misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ferrell clinches but Hust breaks the clinch
and Hust counters with a nice body shot.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ferrell missing with a left hand there. Hust was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A punch lands to the side of Ferrell 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Hust takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Hust dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Ferrell attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Ferrell tries to clinch up.
Hust stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Hust blocks a head kick by Ferrell.
Ferrell on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Hust misses with a low kick as Ferrell jumps back.
George Hust is winning the standup battle so far.
Hust scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Hust lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Hust lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ferrell circles away quickly and effectively.

Ferrell is breathing heavily.
Hust scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Hust shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ferrell manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hust in particular looking to stall.

Hust slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

George Hust overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hust is working Ferrell over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Hust wants to get up but he can't break Ferrell's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Mark Ferrell has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
