Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris O Brian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morris fails with a takedown attempt.
O Brian looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

so Morris counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
O Brian working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Morris.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morris slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
O Brian keeping moving, preventing Morris from controlling successfully.
Morris connects with a couple of short punches.
Morris wants to control from the top but O Brian keeps moving.

Morris sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed O Brian's guard.

O Brian is not content to let Morris control the position.

Morris stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Morris wants to clinch up but O Brian keeps it at a distance.
