The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior shoots in and drives through. Newell sprawls well.
Newell doesn't manage to clinch there - Junior circles away.
Junior lands with a slapping head kick.
Junior gets a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Newell is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Junior is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Junior passes the guard and advances to mount!
Newell is in all sorts of trouble here.
Newell wants to hold on but Junior pushes him away.
Junior working for a guillotine from mount but Newell is in no mood to give up.
Junior avoids the attempt from Newell to control.

Junior has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Newell defend it? Junior steps over the head and cranks it - Newell is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Junior!
