Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeff jr Monsoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and fabio jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monsoon comes into the arena with tnt blaring out of the sound system. jones has chosen yes as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monsoon shoots in looking for a takedown. jones tries to sprawl out of it but Monsoon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Monsoon.

Monsoon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. jones did well to prevent Monsoon getting side control.

jones has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Monsoon is working away from the top position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's time! Monsoon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Monsoon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around jones's waist but jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Monsoon off to one side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

jones looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Monsoon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Monsoon had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. jones is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Monsoon Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take jones's back instead.

jones breaks Monsoon's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
