Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between steven maxwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grangler Mouse Foot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mouse Foot has chosen LL Cool J: Mama Said Knock You Out as his entrance music. steven maxwell looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mouse Foot waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract maxwell.
Mouse Foot is trying hard to land a takedown here. maxwell sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Mouse Foot misses the shot to the body.
The fighters circling - Mouse Foot throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mouse Foot ducks down and throws a hook to the body but maxwell moves away.
Mouse Foot circles away from the clinch attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mouse Foot dives in and grabs maxwell's left leg, looking for a takedown. maxwell pushes down on Mouse Foot's head and hops out.
maxwell slaps away a takedown attempt from Mouse Foot, before circling back to the center of the mat.
steven maxwell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grangler Mouse Foot.

Mouse Foot throws out a loose jab but maxwell uses good head movement to avoid it.

maxwell gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Mouse Foot has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed maxwell clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Mouse Foot cracks maxwell with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing maxwell from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
maxwell is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mouse Foot working for a choke but maxwell is defending well.
maxwell tries to escape but Mouse Foot has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
maxwell rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Mouse Foot keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
maxwell might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
maxwell is in trouble now - Mouse Foot has advanced to mount!
Mouse Foot lands with some strikes.
Mouse Foot controlling the position easily from mount.
maxwell working to try and regain half guard.
maxwell is breathing heavily.

Mouse Foot takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
maxwell is trying desperately to improve position.
Mouse Foot fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

BOOM! Mouse Foot connects with a massive shot to the dome!
maxwell tries to reverse the position but Mouse Foot maintains control.
Mouse Foot tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
maxwell could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
I looks like Mouse Foot might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
maxwell keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Mouse Foot is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. maxwell is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. maxwell flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Mouse Foot anticipates the leg and manages to get behind maxwell and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Mouse Foot slips an arm under maxwell chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Mouse Foot has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Mouse Foot is squeezing on maxwell like an anaconda would it's prey. maxwell fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
