The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mei looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Koscheck is fending him off so far but Mei persists. Nope, Koscheck circles away and we're back to standing.
Pai Mei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Koscheck misses with a wild combination.
Koscheck keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mei fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Thiago Koscheck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pai Mei.
Koscheck lands a glancing blow to the side of Mei's head.
Koscheck throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Koscheck dodges the punch combination from Mei.
Mei misses with a few strikes there.
Koscheck keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mei fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mei falls off balance throwing a combination
and Koscheck cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mei with a lazy takedown attempt
and Koscheck counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
