Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pekka Pouta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Narcoleptic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pekka Pouta could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rick Narcoleptic's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pekka Pouta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rick Narcoleptic!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pouta tries to clinch up.

Pouta closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Narcoleptic drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pouta pulls his leg out and moves away.
The crowd cheers as Pouta lands an impressive looking overhand right. Narcoleptic doesn't seem phased though.
Pouta jabs at Narcoleptic's body.

Pouta drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Narcoleptic is looking to regain half guard here but Pouta keeps moving and retains side control.

Pouta thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Narcoleptic manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Narcoleptic lands a nice short elbow.
Pouta is looking to improve his position.
Narcoleptic with the ground and pound but Pouta uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Pouta wants to stand but Narcoleptic is controlling the position.
Pouta is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Narcoleptic postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pouta is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Narcoleptic, into his guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pouta wants to get back to his feet but Narcoleptic is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Pouta wants to stand but Narcoleptic is controlling the position.

Pouta is looking for a triangle but Narcoleptic pushes his legs off easily.

Pouta wants to sweep here but Narcoleptic controlling him for the moment.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Narcoleptic takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Pouta tries to clinch there but Narcoleptic circles away.

Pouta shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Narcoleptic's guard.
Pouta is working Narcoleptic over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Pouta sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Narcoleptic's guard.
Pouta seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Pouta moves into full mount! Narcoleptic won't be happy about that!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pouta cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Narcoleptic is squirming around, avoiding Pouta's attempts to control the action.
Pouta postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Narcoleptic looks a forlorn figure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pekka Pouta dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Pouta keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Pouta shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Narcoleptic is looking to escape.
Pouta is taking a breather. Narcoleptic says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Pouta lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Pouta is going olschool here, as he tries to force Narcoleptic to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Narcoleptic shrugs it off.

Pouta cracks Narcoleptic with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Narcoleptic keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Pouta takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Pouta is landing with some decent strikes but Narcoleptic is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Pouta lands a big shot there that rocks Narcoleptic but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Pouta lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Pekka Pouta overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Pouta postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Narcoleptic badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Pouta around the waist but Pouta pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Pouta is the winner by TKO! Pouta jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pekka Pouta!
