Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mesquita fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mesquita misses the shot to the body.
Mesquita looks to land a combination but Cafu avoids it well.
Mesquita fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Cafu shoots in looking for a takedown. Mesquita tries to sprawl out of it but Cafu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mesquita manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cafu fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Cafu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mesquita sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cafu somewhat.
Thiago Mesquita has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rogerio Cafu.
Mesquita misses with the combination.

Mesquita looks to score with a jab to the body but Cafu is just out of range.
Cafu shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mesquita tries to reverse the position but Cafu maintains control.
Cafu jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mesquita manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Cafu is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mesquita is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Mesquita tries to buck Cafu off but Cafu is having none of it.
Cafu has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Mesquita is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Cafu yanks on the arm and Mesquita is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Cafu.
