Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Hopp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wandy Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker has chosen Live To Win as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Michael Hopp has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Hopp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wandy Walker!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Walker looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Walker throws a looping overhand right but Hopp ducks down to avoid it.
Walker motions for Hopp to come forward. Walker throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Walker gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hopp to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Walker is looking to stand up but Hopp isn't so interested in that idea.
Hopp looking to pass the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walker is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hopp is controlling him.
Hopp scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Hopp throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Walker works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hopp trying to control but Walker is working from the bottom.
Hopp has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Walker pushes Hopp off and gets back to his feet.
Hopp is trying hard to land a takedown here. Walker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A combination from Walker does no damage.
Some wild striking there from Walker.
Walker pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Walker closes the distance and pushes Hopp back into the cage.

Walker manages to break the clinch.

Hopp shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Walker's guard.

Hopp tries to free his leg and advance position but Walker is retaining full guard.
Walker keeping moving, preventing Hopp from controlling successfully.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Walker keeping moving, preventing Hopp from controlling successfully.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Walker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hopp.

Hopp closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Walker did well to prevent Hopp getting side control.
Hopp tries to pass the half guard into mount. Walker knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Hopp slows the pace down in half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hopp is looking for a kimura but Walker is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hopp to get the leverage.

Walker is trying to stand back up but Hopp is controlling him

Hopp wants to take a breather but Walker is having none of it.
Hopp keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Hopp dodges the punch combination from Walker.
Wandy Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hopp swats away the attempt to clinch by Walker.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A solid leg kick lands there for Walker.
Walker throws a nice looking combination but Hopp bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Walker misses with a two punch combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hopp is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Walker has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Hopp wants to control the pace but Walker is squirming around nicely.

Hopp has hold of Walker's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Walker manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Hopp looking to control but Walker is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Hopp with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

Walker wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Hopp wants to control the pace but Walker is squirming around nicely.
Hopp fails to advance to Walker's back.
Hopp controlling from the full mount.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Hopp thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Hopp decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Hopp lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Walker is trying to stand.
Hopp is looking to take a break and control but Walker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hopp works his way into side control.

Hopp is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Walker looks calm but he's in trouble here. Hopp gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Walker is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Hopp lets go of the hold and Walker can pop his arm back in it's socket.
