PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric DeSimone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanley Goodspeed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eric DeSimone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stanley Goodspeed!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeSimone shoots in but no luck this time.
Goodspeed leaves DeSimone with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown by DeSimone or perhaps it was just good defense by Goodspeed which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric DeSimone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
DeSimone shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Goodspeed as he jumps to the side.
DeSimone misses with a takedown attempt - Goodspeed sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
DeSimone slips a jab and a cross from Goodspeed.
Horrible takedown by DeSimone or perhaps it was just good defense by Goodspeed which made him look bad.
DeSimone fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
DeSimone fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Goodspeed avoids it really well and circles away.

Goodspeed lands a big uppercut and DeSimone crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but DeSimone looks OK. Goodspeed waves DeSimone back to his feet!

It looks like Eric DeSimone has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
DeSimone throws the left hand but Goodspeed avoids the punch easily.
DeSimone closes this distance looking for a takedown but Goodspeed circles away.
DeSimone tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Goodspeed was well out of range. Poor timing from DeSimone.
DeSimone looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
DeSimone blocks a jab.
DeSimone dodges the punch combination from Goodspeed.

Goodspeed sends DeSimone crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Goodspeed is motioning to the referee to let DeSimone up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

DeSimone is rocked!
DeSimone misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Oh DeSimone is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Goodspeed connects with a stiff jab that staggers DeSimone - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
