PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Loysa Sladdi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Decadic Prefix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Prefix has chosen Converge - Dark Horse as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Loysa Sladdi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sladdi dives in and grabs Prefix's left leg, looking for a takedown. Prefix pushes down on Sladdi's head and hops out.
Prefix will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Prefix stuffs the takedown.
Prefix lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Loysa Sladdi has been cut.
Sladdi fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Prefix is out of range.
Prefix misses with a double jab.
Sladdi dives in and grabs Prefix's left leg, looking for a takedown. Prefix pushes down on Sladdi's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Loysa Sladdi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sladdi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Prefix tries to avoid it but Sladdi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Prefix to the ground. Prefix escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sladdi shoots in for a takedown but Prefix shows good takedown defense.
Sladdi tries to close the distance and clinch but Prefix swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Sladdi is looking to clinch but Prefix is avoiding it.
Prefix throws a series of punches but Sladdi moves out of range.
Sladdi shoots in for a double leg but Prefix sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Prefix missing with a left hand there. Sladdi was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Prefix with a hook.
Nice takedown defense from Prefix. No joy for Sladdi on that attempt.
Prefix thows a body shot but no joy.
Sladdi doesn't manage to clinch there - Prefix circles away.

Sladdi ducks straight into an uppercut from Prefix and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Sladdi manages to regain guard straight away.
Sladdi is breathing heavily.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Prefix looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Prefix stopping the sweep attempt from Sladdi.

Prefix not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Prefix decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Prefix lands with a nice body punch.
A punch lands to the side of Sladdi 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Prefix cracks Sladdi with a big right hand and Sladdi goes down!

Sladdi is rocked!

Loysa Sladdi's cut is getting worse.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Prefix stands and steps away. Sladdi gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Oh Sladdi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sladdi tries to get into range but Prefix steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Sladdi! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Prefix scores the big KO victory!
