Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scott Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Roc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by YOUR GOING DOWN. Roc is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Microphone assassin. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Lou da Vinci and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith forces Roc back against the cage and clinches.
Roc is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Roc tries to score a body lock takedown but Smith shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Roc shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Roc gets slowly back to his feet.
Roc swats away the attempt to clinch by Smith.
Smith leaves Roc with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Roc tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Smith swivels and escapes.

Roc shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Smith's guard.

Roc closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Smith did well to prevent Roc getting side control.

Smith is breathing heavily.

Roc looking for a submission but Smith manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Smith wants to get back to his feet but Roc is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Roc stays in close to Smith's body and controls the position.
Smith working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Roc.

Roc shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Roc showed some decent athleticism there.

Roc is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Smith defends it well.
