The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Fertit with that takedown attempt.
Fertit closes the distance and clinches up with Masilungan, looking for a takedown. Fertit pushes Masilungan against the cage but Masilungan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fertit will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jed Masilungan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Giovanni Fertit.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Fertit.
Masilungan throws a front kick that sends Fertit stumbling back into the cage.

Fertit throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Masilungan's waist but Masilungan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fertit off to one side.
Masilungan lands a nice hook to Fertit's body. Fertit takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Masilungan dips to his left and cracks Fertit with an uppercut!

It looks like Giovanni Fertit has been cut.

Fertit drops his hands momentarily and Masilungan needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Fertit just on the top of the head. Fertit drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Fertit - he's done!
