Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Lachance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dougie Acton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Lachance!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dougie Acton!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lachance circles away from the clinch attempt.
Acton tries to close the distance and clinch but Lachance swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Acton rushes Lachance and presses him up against the cage.
Lachance tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Acton smiles and moves away.

Lachance drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Lachance tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Acton is trying to buck Lachance off.

Lachance tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lachance has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Acton explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Acton fails in his attempt to clinch.
Acton is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jab, jab by Lachance - just one landing.
Acton is looking to clinch.
Acton tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Lachance keeps the fight on the outside.

Lachance closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lachance lands in his opponent's guard.

Lachance lands a couple of elbows.
Lachance stops Acton from standing up.
Lachance trying to control but Acton is working from the bottom.
Lachance is really struggling to control Acton but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Lachance pushing down on Acton's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lachance prevents Acton from standing back up.
Lachance passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Acton!

Lachance is working for a guillotine from mount but Acton frees his head quite easily.
Acton is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Acton defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Lachance.
Acton's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Lachance is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Acton takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Lachance controlling the pace for now.
Lachance landing strikes from the mount and Acton is in trouble!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Acton really wants to buck Lachance off and get back to his feet.
Lachance scoring with strikes but Acton is staying in there.
Lachance trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Acton is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Acton looks gassed!
Lachance postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Acton looks a forlorn figure.
Acton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lachance. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lachance lands a big elbow.

Acton tries to buck Lachance off so he can stand up but Lachance has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Acton falls backwards, slamming Lachance to the mat but Lachance holds on tight! Acton is forced to tap and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tim Lachance!
