Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Badaz Rutten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Sinclair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rutten comes to the cage accompanied by Sexy Boy!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Badaz Rutten!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Sinclair!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Rutten looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sinclair misses with a low kick.
Sinclair swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sinclair misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rutten throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Rutten throws a left that rocks Sinclair and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Rutten dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Sinclair regain composure!


It looks like Dan Sinclair has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rutten tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Rutten working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Sinclair is not content to let Rutten control the position.

Rutten tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rutten has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Sinclair pushes Rutten away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rutten gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Rutten is looking to take a break and control but Sinclair is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sinclair wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A clash of legs there as Rutten blocks the low kick.
Rutten is looking to slow Sinclair down with leg kicks.

Rutten clinches up with Sinclair and pushes him back against the cage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rutten is on top in guard.
Rutten tries to free his leg and advance position but Sinclair is retaining full guard.
Rutten stays in close to Sinclair's body and controls the position.
Rutten advances position into side control!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sinclair prevents Rutten from improving position.
Rutten is looking to take a break and control but Sinclair is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rutten tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Rutten passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Sinclair!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Rutten feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Sinclair's calf.
Rutten tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sinclair swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rutten turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Sinclair swats away the attempt to clinch by Rutten.
Rutten thows a body kick. Sinclair tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Rutten darts in and clinches Sinclair up against the cage.

Rutten manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Rutten wants to sweep but no luck.

Rutten is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Rutten looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sinclair is one step ahead there.
Sinclair is breathing heavily.

Rutten is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sinclair is aware though and is defending well.

Sinclair prevents Rutten from getting back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Rutten has Sinclair pulled in close to control his posture.
Rutten controls Sinclair momentarily but Sinclair frees himself.

Rutten is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Sinclair preventing the sweep.
Rutten lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sinclair!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Rutten working for a submission but Sinclair is keeping him at bay.

Rutten looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!



Sinclair tries to keep at a distance but Rutten has taken the fight into the clinch.
Rutten tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sinclair smiles and moves away.
Rutten is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Rutten closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Rutten tries to pull guard but Sinclair won't allow it.

Rutten decides to pull guard.
Rutten working a defensive guard here.
Rutten tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rutten controls Sinclair momentarily but Sinclair frees himself.

Sinclair tries to stand but Rutten is controlling from the bottom.
Sinclair takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Rutten trying to control the position.

Sinclair is refusing to be controlled, as Rutten sits in half guard.

Rutten is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sinclair doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rutten.

Rutten is working for a kimura but Sinclair is defending it quite comfortably.
Dan Sinclair has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Sinclair throws a series of punches but Rutten moves out of range.
Sinclair circles away from the clinch attempt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sinclair falls off balance throwing a combination
and Rutten counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Rutten scores with a head kick.

Rutten has taken the fight to the clinch.

Rutten manages to pull guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Badaz Rutten showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Rutten has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
