Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dino Sottomayor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mini Bard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sottomayor comes to the cage accompanied by sympathy for the devil. Bard comes into a darkened arena with his song building. It's Catching Up (NoMeansNo) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bard throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A knee to the head by Bard.
Bard landing knees to the head.
Bard pushes off an throws an elbow but Sottomayor leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Bard misses with a knee strike.
Bard landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Sottomayor wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Bard tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Sottomayor avoids it.
Bard tries to land knees in the clinch but Sottomayor avoids the damage to the body.
Bard tries to land a knee to the head but Sottomayor blocks with his arms.
Bard misses with an elbow over the top.

Bard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dino Sottomayor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sottomayor fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Sottomayor throws a big right hand that misses.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sottomayor blocks a head kick by Bard.
Sottomayor takes a kick to the side of the head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bard lands with a kick to the temple. Sottomayor shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Bard lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Bard wants to clinch up but Sottomayor keeps it at a distance.
Sottomayor lands with a right hand.
Bard throws a head kick that Sottomayor semi-blocks.
Bard throws a head kick but Sottomayor moves out of range.
Bard fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sottomayor.
Bard lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Sottomayor fails with the takedown.
Bard throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Sottomayor is rocked!
A head kick by Bard - that's a beauty! Sottomayor is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Bard can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
