The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Copenhagen just misses with a punch to the body.
Copenhagen fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Lants checks it well.
Copenhagen lunges at Lants with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lants's hand.
Walter Lants seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lants uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Copenhagen has time to react.
Lants shoots in for a takedown but Copenhagen shows good takedown defense.
Copenhagen slips a jab and a cross from Lants.
Lants throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Copenhagen's waist but Copenhagen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lants off to one side.

Lants gets the takedown into side control.
Lants wants to stand but Copenhagen is controlling his arm.
Copenhagen sneaks back into half guard.
Copenhagen gets full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Copenhagen is on top in guard.
Lants is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Copenhagen is controlling him.
Copenhagen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lants's head.
Copenhagen pushes down on Lants's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Copenhagen landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Lants has hold of Copenhagen's hands but Copenhagen slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Copenhagen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Lants really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Copenhagen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Copenhagen lands a nice short elbow.
Lants is trying to stand up here but Copenhagen is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Copenhagen is nestled in close to Lants, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Lants is rocked!
Copenhagen lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Lants quite badly. Lants pulls Copenhagen in close trying to recover. Copenhagen postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Lants on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Lants doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
