PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between zac attack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jari de Mur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). de Mur is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by around the world. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, zac attack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jari de Mur!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

attack fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. de Mur sprawls well initially but attack persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
de Mur wants to control but attack is keeping busy and won't allow it.

attack is looking for a kimura here.
de Mur is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of attack's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take attack's back!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
attack wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by de Mur, who protects the arm well.
attack really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

de Mur is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

attack thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

zac attack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jari de Mur showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

de Mur stalks attack and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into attack's face. attack staggers backwards, shaken.

attack shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. de Mur is trying to defend but attack finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as de Mur accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

attack looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! de Mur has picked attack up and slammed him! attack can't keep hold of the triangle and de Mur manages to pass to side control!

Well de Mur has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
