Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Richard Crotch!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crotch bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Howlett takes a swing at Crotch's ribcage but misses.

Crotch feints and as Howlett raises his hands in defense, Crotch changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Howlett wants to sweep here but Crotch controlling him for the moment.
Howlett looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Crotch trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Howlett manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Howlett wants to stand but Crotch has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Crotch is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The referee asks Howlett politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Howlett prefers to stall for the moment though.
Crotch tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Howlett wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Crotch shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Crotch was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Howlett sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Crotch goes for an armbar but Howlett turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Howlett.

That was a close round but I would say that James Howlett will probably get the nod.

Crotch takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Howlett loads up on a big right hand but Crotch slips the punch.
Crotch misses with a takedown attempt - Howlett sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Crotch doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Howlett bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Crotch's head backwards.
Howlett misses with a two punch combination.
James Howlett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crotch is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Howlett.
A right-left combo lands from Howlett.
Howlett throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Howlett throws a shot from downtown. Crotch moves away and avoids it.

Crotch pivots, looking for a leg kick but Howlett is out of range and Crotch settles back down.
Crotch moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Howlett is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Howlett lands a with a good body shot.
Howlett throws a hook but Crotch blocks it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Howlett darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Crotch takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Crotch changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Howlett tries to avoid it but Crotch manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Howlett to the ground. Howlett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Howlett shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Crotch sprawls well. Crotch wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Howlett gets slowly back to his feet.
Crotch drops his hands momentarily and Howlett takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Howlett slaps away a takedown attempt from Crotch, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Howlett cracks Crotch with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Crotch shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Howlett as he avoids it easily.
Howlett looks to land a right hand but Crotch moved out of range.
Crotch looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Howlett scores with a one two! Crotch had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Crotch is still on wobbly legs! Can Howlett finish him?
Howlett lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Howlett drops Crotch with a huge uppercut! Crotch drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Howlett is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
