Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dom Selleck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Choy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Selleck's entrance music is Hell's Bells. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dom Selleck!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddie Choy!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Selleck sprawls well. Selleck wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Choy gets slowly back to his feet.
The fighters circling - Selleck throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Choy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Selleck looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Choy tries to move into full mount but can't pass Selleck's legs.
You can see the frustration on Selleck's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Choy is trying to get an arm triangle but Selleck is defending well.

Choy working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Choy tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Choy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Selleck is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Selleck is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Choy off and has taken his back!
Choy turns into Selleck and is now in his guard.

Choy is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Selleck is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Selleck has escaped and now he's on top!
Selleck trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Selleck thows a big elbow that misses.

Choy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Selleck gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Choy looks gassed!
Choy has a closed guard, preventing Selleck from standing up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Choy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Selleck stands up and waves to Choy to follow him.
Selleck misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Choy shoots in for a takedown but Selleck shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Choy takes a swing at Selleck's ribcage but misses.
Danga de danga de dang - Selleck scores with a four punch combination!
Choy walks into a stiff left hand from Selleck.
Eddie Choy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Selleck fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Choy looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Selleck ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Selleck lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Choy circles away quickly and effectively.
Choy shoots for a takedown but Selleck saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Dom Selleck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddie Choy.
Selleck connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Choy falls off balance throwing a combination
and Selleck counters with a three punch combo that has Choy backing up. Choy nods at Selleck to acknowledge the strikes.
Selleck lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Selleck will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Selleck looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Selleck lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Selleck scores with a sloppy right hand. Choy should have avoided that one.
Selleck throws a right and a left that Choy avoids nicely.
Selleck cracks Choy with an open hand slap.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Some wild striking there from Selleck.
Choy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Selleck digs a good hook to Choy's body.
Selleck throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Selleck scores with a three punch combo!
Selleck lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Choy circles away quickly and effectively.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Selleck!
Dom Selleck is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Selleck fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Choy doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Selleck counters with a three punch combo that has Choy backing up. Choy nods at Selleck to acknowledge the strikes.
Selleck is working the combinations to good effect here.
Selleck throws a right hand that Choy ducks under and follows up with a left that Choy also avoids with ease.
Choy has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Selleck finds it's way round the side to connect with Choy's head.
Selleck scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Selleck's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Selleck duly obliges.


Choy is rocked!
Choy walks into a jab.
Choy is still on wobbly legs! Can Selleck finish him?
Selleck swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Choy walks straight into a right hand from Selleck - that's dropped him! Selleck jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Choy from any more punishment! Choy complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Dom Selleck!
Dom Selleck retains his middleweight title!
