Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kolari lands a nice leg kick that just misses Suomela's sensitive parts.

Suomela looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kolari is fending him off so far but Suomela persists. Nope, Kolari circles away and we're back to standing.

Suomela shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kolari's guard.

Kolari has his foot on Suomela's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Suomela works his way back into a safe position though.

Kolari fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Kolari postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Suomela looks a forlorn figure.

Suomela tries to lock up and control but Kolari gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Kolari goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Suomela turns into him and now he's in Kolari's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kolari is on top in guard.

Suomela is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Suomela is keen to just control but Kolari is a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kolari is looking to slow Suomela down with leg kicks.

Kolari closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Suomela to the mat! Suomela manages to get full guard.

Kolari got a little sloppy there for a moment and Suomela has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kolari has managed to get both his arms back between Suomela's legs - danger averted.

Kolari drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Kolari seems to have locked his on tight now - Suomela screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Kolari, as he picks up the win!
