Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fenton Meeks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nils Kolzig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kolzig slips under a jab.
Kolzig shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Meeks as he avoids it easily.
Jab, jab by Meeks - just one landing.
Meeks tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kolzig is able to avoid easily.
Meeks rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kolzig moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Some bone on bone action there as Kolzig checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Meeks stuffs the takedown attempt from Kolzig. Kolzig gets slowly back to his feet.

Kolzig shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Kolzig takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kolzig cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Kolzig quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Kolzig but it's paid off an Meeks is forced to tap! Nice work by Kolzig.
