Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sub Hero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hero comes to the cage accompanied by Giant Squid - Panthalassa. The crowd seem to be enjoying Gracie's choice of entrance music: Bring Da Ruckus. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sub Hero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Renato Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hero closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gracie circles away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Hero slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard.

Gracie throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hero escapes and throws Gracie's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gracie tries to improve position but can't.
Hero trying to control the position but Gracie is working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie is looking to regain half guard here but Hero keeps moving and retains side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Sub Hero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gracie drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hero dives on top into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Gracie tries to bench press Hero off him but Hero keeps the position.
Hero with the ground and pound but Gracie regains half guard under the barage of strikes.

Gracie wants to get back to full guard.

Hero frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Gracie tries to lock up and control but Hero gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hero can't control as he wanted to and Gracie manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Gracie has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hero is working away from the top position though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Gracie is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hero pulls his head out easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Renato Gracie will probably get the nod - 10:9.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Oh but Gracie is tightening it up a little... Hero has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Hero reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Hero taps out! nice BJJ there by Gracie!
