Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Glass Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe comes to the cage accompanied by Ode to Joe. Julio Chavez struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Glass Joe had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chavez gets caught flat footed, as Joe shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Joe slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chavez is looking to regain half guard here but Joe keeps moving and retains side control.
Chavez takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Chavez tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
I would not like to be Chavez right now.

Chavez is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Joe gets his way!

Joe has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Chavez is defending well but eventually Joe manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Chavez has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
