The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adu avoids a punch combination nicely.
Adu works the jab nicely.
Wise throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Adu moves into the clinch.

Wise escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Adu shoots in but no luck this time.
Wise tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Adu was well out of range. Poor timing from Wise.
Adu will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Wise just misses with a punch to the body.
Adu fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Freddy Adu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Adu blocks a jab.
Wise misses the shot to the body.
Adu slips a straight right by Wise.

Wise lands a left and a right that send Adu crashing to the mat, dazed. Wise thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Freddy Adu has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wise misses with an uppercut. Adu saw that one coming.
Wise misses with a jab, cross combination.

Adu drives through and clinches with Wise against the cage.

Adu is looking to break free of the clinch but Wise has double underhooks.

Wise breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Adu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Adu tries to clinch but Wise is having none of it.
Wise fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Adu is breathing heavily.
Wise misses the jab.
Wise clobbers Adu with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Adu slips under a jab from Wise.
Wise lands with a big right hook that stumbles Adu - he's out on his feet here! Wise follows up with another monster hook that separates Adu from consciousness! Adu falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Wise stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
