The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisher ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kid moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Kid throws a body punch but Fisher moves out of range.
Kid misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kid rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fisher moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Fisher lands a nice looking body shot.
Fisher throws out a loose jab but Kid uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fisher is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Kid ducks right into an uppercut from Fisher.

Kid throws a hook to the side of Fisher's head but Fisher sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Fisher counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Fisher moves into range and clinches up with Kid.

Fisher turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Fisher manages to end up in side control.

Kid lands with an uppercut that bounces Fisher off the cage and back into rage.

Fisher gets control of Kid's arms and successfully pulls guard. Fisher will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Kid looking to sit in guard and control but Fisher gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kid escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fisher gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kid takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Fisher tries to free his leg and advance position but Kid is retaining full guard.

Fisher decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kid, up you get!
Fisher fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fisher throws out a loose jab but Kid uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kid might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

and Fisher counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Kid misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Fisher counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fisher takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kid gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Kid throws a shot from downtown. Fisher moves away and avoids it.

Karate Kid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
