The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jalandoni avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jalandoni shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Valo sprawls well. Valo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jalandoni gets slowly back to his feet.
Jalandoni shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Valo as he jumps to the side.

Ricky Valo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Jalandoni.

Valo takes the fight into the clinch.

Ricky Valo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jalandoni doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Valo clinches up against the cage.

Valo has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Jalandoni regains guard immediately.
Valo is looking to stand up but Jalandoni won't let him.

Valo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jalandoni on the ground.

Jalandoni had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Valo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jalandoni Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Valo's back instead.

Jalandoni is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Valo is defending well though. Jalandoni let's go of the attempt for now.

Jalandoni is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Valo knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Valo for a finish.
Valo rolls, trying to escape but Jalandoni keeps control of the position.

Jalandoni is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Valo won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Jalandoni off his unconscious opponent!
