Carwin comes to the cage accompanied by Mama Said Knock You Out. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anima fails with a takedown attempt.
Anima fails to land with a series of punches.
Carwin throws a leg kick which misses Anima's front leg but catches the back leg as Anima tries to avoid it.
Anima keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Carwin.
Carwin throws a right and a left that Anima avoids nicely.
Anima looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Anima is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Carwin.
Anima shoots in for a takedown but Carwin shows good takedown defense.
Shane Carwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Angelo Anima.
Carwin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Carwin misses with a hook. Anima ducked under it nicely.
Carwin looks to land a combination but Anima avoids it well.

Carwin's corner calls for a 1-2. Carwin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Carwin rushes Anima with punches - Anima moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Anima goes down! Carwin follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
