Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy London!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richardson throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

London closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Richardson to the mat! Richardson manages to get full guard.
London throws a strike but Richardson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

London keeping busy on the bottom but Richardson has passed one foot through into half guard.
London makes his way to full guard. A much better position for London.

London isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Richardson stacks London on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Richardson!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
London is not content to let Richardson control the position.
London is trying to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
London needs to keep his hands up - Richardson had a free shot at his head there.
London changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Richardson tries to avoid it but London manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Richardson to the ground. Richardson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jimmy London seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice combination there by Richardson.
Richardson lands with a slapping head kick.

London shoots in and bounces Richardson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
London slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

London goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Richardson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for London but great work by Richardson.
London is looking for a sweep.
London sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
London is pressing down on Richardson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
London wants to sweep but no luck.

London manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

London working for a submission but Richardson is keeping him at bay.

London looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Richardson tries to hold on but London pushes him away.

London working for a guillotine from mount but Richardson is in no mood to give up.
London controlling the pace for now.

London jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Richardson manages to avoid the submission attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
An elbow from London crashes against the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jimmy London will probably get the nod.

London tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Richardson just stands there and leans against the cage.

London goes for a takedown attempt but Richardson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Nate Richardson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy London.

London looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Richardson is fending him off so far but London persists. Nope, Richardson circles away and we're back to standing.
Richardson throws a right and a left that London avoids nicely.
London misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Richardson misses with a two punch combination.
Richardson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Richardson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as London backs up against the cage.

London closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - London lands in his opponent's guard.

London drops back looking for a leg! Richardson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Richardson manages to kick London off! London jumps back into Richardson's guard.

London sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Richardson's guard.
Richardson is trying to get back to full guard.

London is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Richardson has managed to free his arm - good work.

London is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
London is just content to waste time from the top position. Richardson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

London thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

London tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no London has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
London tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

London is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Richardson has escaped the position, nice work there.

Richardson trying to control but London flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
London thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

London is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Richardson defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

London is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Richardson with him. Richardson is trying to defend but London has an arm under the chin now! Richardson grimaces and is forced to tap out!
