PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Litoris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Litoris tries to clinch but Norris is having none of it.

Norris fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Litoris, pushing him back against the cage.

Litoris shoots for a double leg takedown but Norris sprawls well. He's pushed Litoris's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Norris moves into the clinch.

Norris is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Litoris pulls his head out easily.
Norris is looking to improve his position.

Litoris has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Litoris stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Norris to get to his feet.

Litoris closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Litoris throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Litoris takes Norris's back, avoiding a couple of desperation strikes from the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Litoris controlling the position well here. Norris rolled but Litoris kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Litoris slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Litoris's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
