Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joonatan Roinatan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Punpet Palioulsa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Punpet Palioulsa was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palioulsa throws a low kick but it's checked well by Roinatan.
Palioulsa is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Roinatan is breathing heavily.
Palioulsa throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Palioulsa finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Roinatan closes the distance and pushes Palioulsa back into the cage.

Roinatan breaks from the clinch.
Palioulsa misses with a low kick.
Palioulsa takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Palioulsa will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Roinatan gets a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Palioulsa tries to kick Roinatan off but Roinatan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Palioulsa is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Roinatan postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Palioulsa to stand up.

Palioulsa attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Roinatan has managed to clinch.

Roinatan looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Palioulsa!
Palioulsa tries to buck Roinatan off but he can't manage it.

Roinatan is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Palioulsa is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Palioulsa flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Roinatan anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Palioulsa and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Roinatan slips an arm under Palioulsa chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Roinatan has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Roinatan is squeezing on Palioulsa like an anaconda would it's prey. Palioulsa fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
