Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Golbez McEnfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maurice Hua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McEnfield shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hua but Hua pushes him off and we're back to square one.

McEnfield clinches up with Hua and pushes him back against the cage.
Hua working hard to break the clinch.
Hua with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
McEnfield is pushing Hua up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Hua tries to land a knee to the head but McEnfield blocks with his arms.
McEnfield digs a right hand underneath Hua's ribcage. Hua let out a lung full of air as it connected.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hua accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McEnfield wants to control from the top but Hua keeps moving.

McEnfield showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hua.
McEnfield throws and low kick but Hua moves out of range easily.
Hua with a nice cross.
Hua throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Hua stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Hua rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McEnfield moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and McEnfield counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

McEnfield is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hua is just riding it out for now. McEnfield eventually gives up the hold.
Still in half guard, McEnfield seems content to control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hua is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McEnfield is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McEnfield drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McEnfield jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A decent looking cross lands there for Hua.

McEnfield shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hua sprawls well. Hua wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McEnfield gets slowly back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
McEnfield is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hua sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Hua throws a series of punches but McEnfield moves out of range.
Maurice Hua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McEnfield looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
McEnfield shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hua pinned against the cage. Hua gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

McEnfield bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hua's guard.

Hua moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Horrible takedown by McEnfield or perhaps it was just good defense by Hua which made him look bad.

Hua tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

McEnfield throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hua's waist but Hua gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McEnfield off to one side.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McEnfield wants to control but Hua is keeping him busy.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Maurice Hua has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
McEnfield in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Golbez McEnfield is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for McEnfield, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
