Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Glass Joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Norris!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Norris throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Joe tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Joe avoids a punch combination nicely.

Norris closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Norris trying to control the action but Joe is working from the bottom.
Norris is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Joe tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Joe is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Norris lands a big shot there that rocks Joe but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Norris can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Joe is looking to escape.

Norris jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Joe is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Joe and Norris has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Joe takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Norris tries for a kimura but Joe is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Joe tries to bench press Norris off him but Norris keeps the position.

Norris is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Joe is surviving well by controlling Norris's body position as best he can.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Joe is looking to get to half guard.
Joe is working hard here to advance position.
Norris with the ground and pound from mount.
Joe keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Norris looking to control but Joe is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Norris looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Norris shoots in and bounces Joe off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Norris wants to control from the top but Joe keeps moving.

Norris is going olschool here, as he tries to force Joe to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Joe shrugs it off.

Norris is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Norris extends the arm and Joe is forced to tap!
