Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Whissell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torres comes into the arena with It's My Time-Fabulous blaring out of the sound system. Whissell comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rose Of Sharon kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres throws a right and a left that Whissell avoids nicely.
Torres keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A clash of legs there as Torres blocks the low kick.
Whissell lands a nice hook to Torres's body. Torres takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Torres throws a low kick but it's checked well by Whissell.
Torres shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Whissell pinned against the cage. Whissell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Torres lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Whissell at a distance.

Torres throws a shot from downtown. Whissell moves away and avoids it.
Whissell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Torres.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Whissell catches Torres with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Whissell swings for the body but Torres moves out of range.

Whissell wants to clinch up but Torres keeps it at a distance.
Torres lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Whissell moves in looking to clinch but Torres pushes him off.
Torres avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Whissell tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Torres throws a head kick that misses.
George Whissell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Whissell avoids a punch combination nicely.
Whissell takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
George Whissell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Torres counters with a shoot takedown. Whissell fights it but they end up in guard.

Torres drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Whissell dives on top into guard.
Torres has momentary wrist control but Whissell slips an elbow through the middle.

Torres is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Torres escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Whissell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Torres has a closed guard, preventing Whissell from standing up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Torres has his feet on Whissell's thighs here. He's pushed Whissell off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Whissell screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
