Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dantae Sags (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Danny Perez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dantae Sags!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Danny Perez!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez avoids the body shot from Sags.
Perez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Perez is defended easily by Sags.

Sags shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Perez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Sags wants to control from the top but Perez keeps moving.
Sags showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Sags trying to control but Perez is working from the bottom.
Sags has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Sags tries to free his leg and advance position but Perez is retaining full guard.

Perez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sags gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Sags wants to control from the top but Perez keeps moving.
Perez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sags controls the pace.
Sags has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Sags throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Sags wants to control from the top but Perez keeps moving.

Sags is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Dantae Sags just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Sags drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Perez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sags will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sags trying to stand up but can't free himself from Perez's guard.
Sags is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Sags closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Perez goes for a takedown attempt but Sags pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Sags shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sags was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Sags moves into range and clinches up with Perez.

Sags has Perez pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sags pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Perez tumbling to the mat - Sags dives into Perez's guard.
Sags scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Sags really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Perez is working an open guard so Sags takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Sags shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Perez is squirming around, avoiding Sags's attempts to control the action.

Sags looking to control but Perez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sags can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Perez is looking to escape.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Sags closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sags lands in his opponent's guard.

Perez is not content to let Sags control the position.
Sags tries to pass to full mount but Perez defends it.
Perez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sags is working away from the top position though.
Perez keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Perez is looking for a sweep. Sags is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Still in half guard, Sags seems content to control.

Perez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sags looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sags is trying to get back to half guard.
Sags can't do much from the bottom here.
Sags manages to work his way to half guard, despite Perez's best efforts.

Perez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sags is just riding it out for now. Perez eventually gives up the hold.
Sags has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Perez is working away from the top position though.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Sags makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sags.
Sags wants to stand and escape but Perez is having none of it.
Perez with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Sags wants to get back to his feet but Perez is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Sags keeping moving, preventing Perez from controlling successfully.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sags manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Perez manages to get himself to full guard.
Perez is trying to hold Sags in close to prevent damage but Sags has managed to pass into half guard.
Sags is trying to control the action in half guard but Perez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Sags throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Perez strikes from the bottom but Sags passes into mount!
Sags sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Sags trying to control but Perez is having none of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Perez flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Perez tries to reverse the position but Sags maintains control.

Sags looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Sags is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Perez is surviving well by controlling Sags's body position as best he can.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dantae Sags.
Well Sags has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
