Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Xander Coll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bad Boy Bernie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bad Boy Bernie is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Xander Coll!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bad Boy Bernie!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bernie tries to keep at a distance but Coll has taken the fight into the clinch.

Coll has Bernie pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Coll pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bernie tumbling to the mat - Coll dives into Bernie's guard.
Coll slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Coll postures up.
Coll trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Coll looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Bernie is trying to keep Coll in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bernie has his foot on Coll's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Coll works his way back into a safe position though.
Coll not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Bernie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Coll wants to clinch.
Coll fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Coll closes the distance and pushes Bernie back into the cage.

Coll has Bernie pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bernie manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Coll has picked Bernie up - he's going for a ride! Coll dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Coll takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Coll's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Bernie is looking to control Coll's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bernie avoid being mounted?

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Bernie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bernie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bernie is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Coll might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bernie is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Xander Coll overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Coll has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bernie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Coll is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bernie tries to get to full guard but Coll has control of the leg.
Coll looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Coll has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Coll is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bernie defends it well.

Bad Boy Bernie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Bernie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bernie lands in his opponent's guard.
Coll is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Xander Coll just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Coll rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bernie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bernie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Coll's waist but Coll gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bernie off to one side.

Xander Coll has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bad Boy Bernie.

Bernie ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bernie no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Coll slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bernie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Coll doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Coll manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bad Boy Bernie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Bernie has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
