The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexandrov scores with a leg kick.
Alexandrov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jordan avoids it really well and circles away.
Jordan swats away the attempt to clinch by Alexandrov.
Alexandrov tries to clinch but Jordan moves out of range.
Jordan throws a looping overhand right but Alexandrov ducks down to avoid it.
Jordan dodges the punch combination from Alexandrov.
Alexandrov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jordan avoids it really well and circles away.
A telegraphed right hand from Alexandrov misses the target.
Alexandrov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Alexandrov shoots in but no luck this time.
Sterling Jordan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maxim Alexandrov.
Jordan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Alexandrov throws out the jab.

Alexandrov tries to clinch but Jordan is having none of it.

Jordan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Alexandrov was covering up waiting for the punch and Jordan finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Jordan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Alexandrov is looking to stand up but Jordan isn't so interested in that idea.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Alexandrov is on top in guard.
Jordan has a closed guard, preventing Alexandrov from standing up.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jordan holds on and takes a little breather.
Jordan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alexandrov on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jordan uses the cage to get back to his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jordan misses with a wild body shot.
Jordan lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

It looks like Maxim Alexandrov has been cut.
Jordan throws a push kick but Alexandrov slaps the foot to one side.
Jordan misses with a looping left.

Jordan steps into range and cracks Alexandrov with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Alexandrov flops backwards and Jordan dives into his guard looking to finish!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Jordan lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jordan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Jordan feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Alexandrov crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
