Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stan Best (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Ustorf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Stan Best!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sean Ustorf!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Best throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ustorf.

Ustorf closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Best wants to improve his position but Ustorf is controlling well.
Best moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Best is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Best wants to stand but Ustorf is controlling the position.
Best is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Ustorf thows a big elbow that misses.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Ustorf steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Best. That one must have hurt.

Ustorf wants to sweep but Best has passed to side control!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Best remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Best controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Ustorf avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The fight stays on the outside here - Best looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Ustorf shoots in looking for a takedown. Best tries to sprawl out of it but Ustorf keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Best manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Best keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Best avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ustorf slips a jab and a cross from Best.
Ustorf tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Best tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ustorf paws at him with a jab and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ustorf is looking to take a break and control but Best is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Best is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Ustorf seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Best does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Stan Best.
Well Best has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
