Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between George Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Add Sweep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is You Dont Know - 50 Cent. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sweep swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sweep comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sweep tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jones misses with a few strikes there.

Sweep clinches.

Sweep breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Some bone on bone action there as Jones checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Sweep throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jones counters with a nice body kick.
Sweep fakes the leg kick and cracks Jones in the body.
Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sweep moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Add Sweep seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sweep counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Jones throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Sweep tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Jones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sweep tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Jones counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Jones takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Sweep tries a head kick but it misses.
Sweep swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Jones counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Jones throws a sloppy head kick
and Sweep counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sweep throws a body punch but Jones moves out of range.
Sweep misses with a double jab
and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Jones throws a right and a left that Sweep avoids nicely.
Jones uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sweep.
Sweep misses with a shot to the body
and Jones counters with a three punch combo that has Sweep backing up. Sweep nods at Jones to acknowledge the strikes.
Jones throws a combination that misses
and Sweep counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jones is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Jones misses with a double jab

and Sweep moves into the clinch.

Jones wants to get back to striking at distance but Sweep won't allow it.

Jones pulls guard successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones kicks Sweep off and gets to his feet.
Jones misses with a body shot.
Sweep avoids the head kick by Jones.
Sweep is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A nice combination there by Jones.
Sweep wants to clinch
and Jones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Sweep throws a looping overhand right but Jones ducks down to avoid it.

Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sweep has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Sweep tries to clinch but Jones moves away

Jones takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Jones has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sweep finds it's way round the side to connect with Jones's head.
Some wild striking there from Jones.
Jones throws an overhand right that lands on Sweep's shoulder, as Sweep tries to avoid the shot.
Jones's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Jones duly obliges.
Sweep tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Jones counters with a nice uppercut.
No joy there for Sweep, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones lands with a shot to the body.
Sweep looks gassed!
Sweep tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Jones counters with a left and a right that stings Sweep.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sweep clinches but Jones breaks the clinch
and Jones counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

and Jones counters with a series of strikes. Sweep will be more careful next time no doubt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
