The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badam takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Badam throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Tessin doesn't manage to clinch there - Badam circles away.
Tessin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Badam paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tessin throws a sloppy head kick and Badam moves out of range easily.

Badam decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Badam is working for a submission of some sort.
Tessin is trying to stand back up but Badam is controlling him

Badam is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tessin wants to control but Badam is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Tessin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Tessin is trying to stand up here but Badam is controlling him well.

Badam prevents Tessin from standing back up.

Badam is looking for submissions but instead, Tessin has regained full guard.

Badam drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Tessin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Badam has Tessin in his guard.
Tessin wanted to stand there but Badam had control of the position.

Tessin is looking to work some ground and pound but Badam has wrist control.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tessin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Badam has his foot on Tessin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tessin works his way back into a safe position though.
Tessin wants to stand but Badam has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Tessin working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Badam's head.

Badam escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tessin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Tessin wants to stand but Badam is controlling his posture from full guard.

Tessin has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Badam to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Tessin is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Badam pulls down on the head and he's put Tessin to sleep! This one is all over!
