Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alain Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clark comes to the cage accompanied by Empire State. Alain Clark has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alain Clark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brandon Williams!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark shoots in but Williams avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Williams misses with a few strikes there.
Williams tries to bum rush Clark with a series of wild strikes but Clark uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Williams moves in looking to clinch but Clark pushes him off.
Clark shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Williams sprawls well. Williams wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Clark gets slowly back to his feet.
Williams defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Clark.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alain Clark. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Clark tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Williams swivels and escapes.
Williams is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Clark decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Williams shoots in looking for a takedown. Clark tries to sprawl out of it but Williams keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Clark manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Clark goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Williams moves in looking to clinch but Clark pushes him off.

and Williams counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Williams.

Williams crunches a lovely knee into Clark's ribcage.
Clark takes a knee right on the jaw!
Williams keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Clark's efforts to push away.

Williams has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Clark avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Clark turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Clark manages to end up in side control.

Williams parries the strikes from Clark easily there. Clark is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Williams to escape.
Williams is looking to reverse the position.
Clark has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Clark is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Williams has escaped the position, nice work there.
Williams is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Williams can do anything to dispel that myth.

Williams is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Clark pulls his head out easily.

Clark is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Williams doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Clark.

and Clark counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Clark is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Williams is just riding it out for now. Clark eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Clark has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Williams can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Williams drops back looking for a leg! Clark is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Clark manages to kick Williams off! Williams jumps back into Clark's guard.
Williams is looking to work some ground and pound but Clark has wrist control.

Clark is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Clark is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Clark bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Williams's guard.

Williams working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Clark doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Clark manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Williams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Clark. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Williams is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Williams has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Clark uses from the top position.
Alain Clark overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Williams controls Clark momentarily but Clark frees himself.

Clark drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Williams dives on top into guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Williams in particular looking to stall.
Williams wants to control but Clark is keeping him busy.
Williams throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Williams is taking a breather. Clark says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Williams is working for a submission of some sort.

Williams is looking to take a break and control but Clark is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Williams not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Clark makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Clark.

Clark has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Williams should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Clark has tightened it up now! Williams should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
