Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Igor Melinkovich!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gregor fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gregor throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Melinkovich.
Melinkovich lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gregor circles away quickly and effectively.
Gregor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
No luck for Melinkovich with that takedown attempt.
Melinkovich takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Gregor throws a head kick that misses.
Melinkovich stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gregor.
Gregor slips a jab and a cross from Melinkovich.
Melinkovich on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Gregor. Gregor obviously looking to wear him down.

Gregor misses with a takedown
and Melinkovich counters with a takedown into side control.
Melinkovich looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Gregor is avoiding damage well.

Gregor can't do much from the bottom here.
Melinkovich tries to score with some ground and pound. Gregor controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Gregor regains half guard, as Melinkovich was trying to land strikes.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Melinkovich counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Gregor!

Gregor wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Melinkovich.
Melinkovich with shots to the head and body - Gregor looks very uncomfortable down there.
Gregor is breathing heavily.

Gregor wants to try and get back to his feet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Melinkovich unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Gregor wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Melinkovich celebrates on the ropes and the crowd goes wild!
